Hong Kong Baptist University has been awarded funding in relation to the Job Creation Scheme under Anti-epidemic Fund 2.0 of the Government to create employment opportunities. The School is creating a variety of positions to support its various projects/programmes:

Project Assistant / Research Assistant (PR0167/20-21)

1. Project Assistant – Global Bridge (PA-GB)

  • To extend social presence in the local and global job markets and create a professional career brand, thereby maintaining accreditations and raising University ranking ultimately.
  • Core duties include (i) conduct research and liaise with potential employers in the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong, Asia and other overseas countries; and (ii) organise job talks and visits.

2. Research Assistant – Remuneration Practices and Talent Management in the Greater Bay Area (RA-RPTM) 

  • To publish an annual report on remuneration practices in Greater Bay Area (GBA) based on our annual remuneration survey, so as to provide GBA companies with reliable information, evidence-based knowledge, and practical guidance for developing their remuneration strategies and policies. 
  • Core duties include (i) survey design, planning and execution; (ii) liaise with partner institutions and organise promotion and public events; (iii) develop online survey system and monitor/operate the computer-aided survey system; (iv) design data collection and analytical tools; and (v) process and analyse data and generating reports.

3. Research Assistant – Corporate Governance Index in Hong Kong (RA-CGI)

  • To improve the quality of public debates and policy on major corporate governance and related financial policy issues, and to promote best practice in the area by using press, social media, and public documents coverage to develop a corporate governance index in Hong Kong.
  • Core duties include (i) conduct textual analysis of press and social media coverage with the aim of developing the index; (ii) provide analysis in academic research publications using the index; and (iii) assist in other research activities.

As stipulated by the Government, applicants should be Hong Kong permanent residents.  They should possess a recognized relevant Bachelor’s degree with good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and reasonable proficiency in English and Putonghua.

The School may appoint candidates to positions different from what they have applied for to suit its operational needs.

Appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year.
