Accounting Assistant – Payroll & Benefit Disbursements Section (PR0230/20-21)
The appointee is expected to:
(a) handle the full processing of part-time payroll including monthly payroll payments, tax returns, MPF and ORSO contributions and other related matters;
(b) handle the full processing of student helper payroll including monthly payroll payments, tax returns and MPF contributions and other related matters;
(c) perform general accounting work for payroll and retirement benefit transactions;
(d) handle budget approval requests;
(e) prepare reports related to payroll and contributions made on retirement benefits;
(f) process retirement contributions and prepare reports for the transfer of funds to the trustees of the MPF and ORSO schemes;
(g) follow up and liaise closely with the fund administrators of the MPF and ORSO schemes on issues or follow-up items concerning schemes enrollment and on-going maintenance of memberships;
(h) assist in user testing and the implementation of system enhancement, if any; and
(i) handle enquiries and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior(s).
Applicants should have/be:
(a) completed secondary education, with 5 passes in HKCEE or Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, and preferably with LCC Intermediate level in Book-keeping and Accounts;
(b) preferably two years of work experience in payroll and knowledge of Employment/Inland Revenue Ordinances and MPF Schemes Ordinance;
(c) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
(d) a demonstration of good analytical skills and PC application skills especially in Excel;
(e) a good numerical sense and be detail-minded with strong leadership and organisational skills;
(f) the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
(g) a good team player, mature and self-motivated.

Reference salary range: HK$16,500 - HK$26,300
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a computer application test.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
