System Analyst (Enterprise Resource Planning) (PR0165/20-21)
This is a new position for Application and Integration Services Section in the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the ERP Manager, the appointee will be an in-house expert in ERP systems and related business domains/processes to ensure the ERP systems fully support business processes and needs, and assist in the implementation of changes and improvements to these applications.
Perform requirement confirmation and analysis for the preparation and execution of RFI/RFP processes;
Work closely with business users (both academic and administrative), and system owners in translation of their business needs into working prototypes and applications;
Analyse project gaps, design solutions and help business users to prioritize and plan their demands with maximum values and better user experience;
Manage, monitor compliance of third-party vendors and consultants on executable work items;
Ensure ERP systems and users are adequately supported through prompt resolution of system problems, maintenance of system documentation, training material and the performance of system reconciliation activities;
Ensure system and data integrity for all ERP supported applications by ensuring users are authorized, all changes are properly controlled, and errors are identified, rectified and minimized;
Collaborate with the Infrastructure, ERP, CRM and Data Analytics teams to ensure the comprehensive system design, work arrangement, and appropriate parties are being properly aligned; and
Any other IT projects and assignments as directed.
A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline;
At least 5 years’ work experience in project management, ERP platform implementation, database design and administration;
Specialize in one or more business processes in ERP covering Finance, Human Resource or Student Information System;
Experience in leading technical teams and managing vendors;
Strong negotiation skills, technology-driven, analytical, independent and problem-solving leader; and
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be a self-starter with strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
