Assistant IT Manager (Student Life Cycle Management) (PR0160/20-21)

This is a new position for Application and Integration Services Section in the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the appointee will be an in-house expert in Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems and related business domains/processes to ensure the CRM systems fully support business processes & needs and assist in the implementation of changes and improvements to these applications.


  • Handle different CRM projects from multi aspects of the University;
  • Work closely with business users (both academic and administrative), and system owners in translation of their business needs into working prototypes and applications;
  • Analyse project gaps, design solutions and help business users to prioritize and plan their demands with maximum values and better user experience;
  • Manage, monitor compliance of third-party vendors and consultants on executable work items;
  • Ensure CRM systems and users are adequately supported through prompt resolution of system problems, maintenance of system documentation, training material and the performance of system reconciliation activities;
  • Ensure system and data integrity for all CRM supported applications by ensuring users are authorized, all changes are properly controlled, and errors are identified, rectified and minimized;
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure, ERP and Data Analytics teams to ensure the comprehensive system design, work arrangement, and appropriate parties are properly aligned; and
  • Any other IT projects and assignments as directed.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline;
  • At least 6 years’ work experience in project management, database design and administration;
  • Hands-on experience in CRM platform implementation and project management methodology;
  • Experience in leading technical teams and managing vendors;
  • Strong negotiation skills, technology-driven, analytical, independent and problem-solving leader; and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter with strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
