Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre

The Centre is the first local independent certification body for organic production in Hong Kong. It provides organic certification service and actively promotes organic movement to the public through mass publicity and educational campaigns. We are seeking passionate and energetic candidates who are interested in organic and agricultural development in Hong Kong to fill the following position:

Project Assistant (PR0096/20-21)

The appointee is expected to assist the Centre Executive/Assistant Centre Executive in the execution of public education on local sustainable agriculture. He/She is responsible for planning and designing visits to farms, learning centre and farmers’ markets, liaising with travel agents on logistic arrangement, leading eco tours, and performing administrative and other duties as assigned. Working on shifts, weekends and public holidays is required. 

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related disciplines, preferably with one year’s relevant experience. He/She should be self-motivated, out-going, energetic and able to work independently with excellent execution and organisational skills. An excellent command of spoken English and Chinese is required.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
