ALUMNI AFFAIRS OFFICE
Assistant Manager / Senior Officer (PR0105/20-21)
The incumbent will be responsible for managing alumni publications (both electronic and non-electronic) and communication materials as well as planning and implementing alumni programmes that build a long term relationship with alumni.
Applicants should possess a recognised degree in Communications, Journalism, Translation or Marketing with at least 10 years of solid experience in the relevant field, preferably with at least 2 years at supervisory level. Applicants should have proven track record in publications and e-Communication platform with strong editing skills and be able to develop content and write substantive, in-depth and institutionally important feature stories. Applicants should also have solid experience in event management, preferably with tertiary education background. An excellent command of written English and Chinese and willingness to work irregular hours are also necessary. The appointee is expected to be a self-starter and should have strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. He/She is also required to work with various faculties/departments to develop long-term relations with the alumni community. The suitable candidate with less experience may be appointed as Senior Officer.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
