Executive Officer (PR0072/20-21)

The appointee is assigned to provide administrative support to the Department and its BA programmes. Main duties include staff supervision, office administration, liaison with teaching staff, students, alumni and external bodies, course planning, class scheduling, assisting in the review of administrative and operation guidelines, coordinating various departmental events, and performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a recognized degree with at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a university. A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and competency in computer software applications are essential. Good interpersonal and supervisory, and solid analytical skills are also required. They should also be organized, detail-minded, proactive, efficient, highly motivated, and have the sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently and calmly under pressure. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
