JCCAC is a self-financed charity and a subsidiary of Hong Kong Baptist University. It is a vibrant multidisciplinary arts village and arts centre located in an award-winning architectural conversion from the former Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate. It provides 140 studio units for artists and cultural organisations plus various venue facilities for performance and exhibition. It now invites applications for the following position:
Operations Officer (JCCAC001/20-21)
The appointee will assist the Operations Team in matters related to tenancy and operations of the Centre, including:
(a) tenancy administration, including the processing of tenancy applications and renewals;
(b) liaising with tenants and handling enquiries/requests;
(c) general office administration;
(d) clerical and operational support;
(e) drafting and preparation of correspondence, notice and document;
(f) compilation of report and statistics; and
(g) any other duties assigned by the Centre management.
Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should be interested in cultural venue and arts management, possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. business administration, arts or humanities) and preferably have at least two years of relevant work experience. An excellent command of English and Chinese is essential, as are problem-solving, interpersonal and multitasking skills. The candidate should be meticulous, well organised, proactive, self-motivated and service oriented, and be able to work well both independently and as a good team player. Shift duty (e.g. working irregular hours and on weekends/public holidays) may occasionally be required on a need basis.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The appointee will initially be offered a fixed-term contract of two years, renewable thereafter subject to mutual agreement. A competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the right candidate.
