Research Assistant (PR0022/20-21)

The appointee is expected to support a historical research project on modern Japan-US relations. The main duties include transcription of handwritings in English and collection of primary/secondary sources for the ongoing research. The appointee should read accurately English letters, diaries, and reports.


- Bachelor’s degree in History, English Literature or American studies; and
- Strong comprehensive skills in English.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 5 months commencing September 2020 tentatively.  

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
