Assistant Manager (PR0423/19-20) 

The appointee will provide secretarial and administrative support to the University Council, the Court and various committees and task forces under the Council and the senior management, and to University-wide projects, including the preparation of policy papers, reports, proposals, minutes of meetings, other documents and speeches, and translation between English and Chinese. The appointee will also assist in the work on institutional risk management, including monitoring the risk management system, and be responsible for liaison with various government and administrative units and stakeholders, coordinating events and performing general administrative duties.

Applicants should have (a) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; (b) strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail; (c) strong self-motivation and the ability to be a good team player as well as work independently and under pressure to meet tight schedules; and (d) a Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of relevant work experience.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one or two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
