Accounting Assistant (Treasury, Payroll & Benefit Disbursements Section) (PR0193/19-20)
The appointee is expected to:
(a) handle and co-ordinate the finance related matters for students, including issuance and collection of tuition and hall fees, scholarship payment, students’ loan disbursement/repayment and follow up on internal and external enquiries;
(b) perform general accounting work, income and payment processing;
(c) process budgetary control, voucher input and journal entries;
(d) prepare management reports, analysis schedules and bank reconciliations;
(e) assist the Accounting Officer or the Team leader to test and implement system enhancements; and
(f) perform ad-hoc tasks and clerical duties as assigned.
Work Location: Tsuen Wan Campus (Address: Riviera Gardens, No. 2-12 Yi Lok Street, Tsuen Wan, NT)
Applicants should have completed secondary education, with 5 passes in HKCEE or Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, and preferably with LCC Intermediate level qualification in Book-keeping and Accounts. They should preferably have three years of work experience in the accounting field and have good communication skills, be self-motivated, mature, team-oriented and proficient in computer applications (MS Word/Excel and Chinese Word).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a computer application test.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Reference salary range: HK$16,000 - HK$26,000 per month
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
